Reminders: Medicaid cost reports & franchise fee

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) confirmed this week that cost reports can be submitted through May 2 given the weekend includes April 30. 

LeadingAge Ohio also reminds members that are considering de-licensing beds that April 30 is the deadline to do so and avert the franchise fee payment for July 1. In recent weeks, LeadingAge Ohio has fielded multiple questions from providers considering reducing the number of beds in their nursing facilities.
